Day 1 – Flavour & Folklore in Enniskillen
Come Away Together on our solo-friendly weekend escape through the heart of Ulster, for a weekend full of flavours, stories and tunes, at an easy pace and in great company.
We gather at Enniskillen Castle - easily accessible from Dublin by Expressway bus - then dive straight into the award-winning ‘A Taste of Enniskillen’ - a multi award-winning foodie walking tour. Expect local bites, artisan sips and lots of Ulster banter. This tour is full of flavour, stories and laughs, as we sip, savour and stroll our way through this island town. We’ll meet local producers, taste a dozen or so specialities and uncover the legends behind every bite.
After this warm and tasty welcome, we journey north into Donegal, soaking up the scenic views (weather – permitting!) as we make our way to Letterkenny to check into our hotel and unwind for the evening.
Day 2 – A Festival of Food in Donegal
After an early morning dip in the hotel pool, you’ll dine on a typical Irish breakfast, before making our way to the stunning, family-owned Oakfield Estate for a full day at the 2025 Donegal Festival of Food. Set across 100 acres of landscaped gardens, sculpture trails, lakes and parkland, Oakfield is home to Ireland’s longest miniature railway - and yes, we’ll enjoy a scenic ride through the gardens, woodlands and sculpture trails aboard this charming train.
Expect regional culinary delights, live music, artisan food and drink and cooking demos from renowned chefs like Marco Pierre White & Rachel Allen.
It’s a feast for all the senses, with entertainment and discovery at every turn - whether you're a passionate foodie, a fan of local crafts, or simply in the mood for a great day out in great company.
Day 3 – Bluegrass, BBQ flavours & the Sperrin Glen
On our final day, we head via the Sperrin Glens to the Ulster American Folk Park’s Bluegrass Festival with a chance to glimpse the up-and-coming queen of blues and bluegrass: Muireann Bradley.
As well as toe-tapping music, you can gorge on Tex-Mex, smoky BBQ food, craft brews and classic Americana foods. This festival beautifully blends food, music and folklore.
Or you can simply immerse yourself in the story of Irish emigration: from the thatched cottages of Ulster, through a full-scale emigrant ship and into the log cabins of early America.
